This is my Story

Welcome to Liberty & Co, where I empower midlife women to transform their corporate expertise into thriving solo businesses. I'm Leigh Raymond, a small business specialist, marketing lecturer, and experienced career coach. With a strong academic background in accounting, marketing, and advertising, and decades of corporate leadership experience, I've successfully transitioned from a corporate career to business ownership in my late 40s.

My journey began as Head of Marketing at a major financial institution before ultimately leading the Australian Digital Division at the world's largest executive search and recruitment firm. These roles equipped me with the strategic insight and practical knowledge needed to guide women in leveraging their professional experience into successful, independent businesses.

At Liberty & Co, I offer strategic courses and online resources designed to make the transition to business freedom simple and overwhelm-free. My mission is to help women build businesses that align with their vision and values, providing the freedom to live life on their own terms.

Coming from Africa I have a strong connection to the land and animals, which is where my zebra obsession originates. 

I now call Sydney's Northern Beaches home, where the ocean's rhythm inspires my work and life balance. I have a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures, which continuously enriches my approach to business and personal growth. Having lost my darling husband Mike in late 2024, I have found myself seeking answers and so am currently having a Grown Up Gap Year while running my business. Something my solo freedom business allows me to do!
